I have been making a bracket for a switch for my pedal that activates the brake lights I want to add to my tractor. I am supplying it to give other ideas.

really, most tractors already have provisions for that, even without making a whole plate and whatnot. the kill switch could just be bypased. the one where you have to push the brake in in order for it to start. great idea though.

Ahh, yes- the clutch start switch. Generally, they are set up from the factory to engage when the clutch/brake pedal is nearly fully depressed- you might want to adjust it some, but it could indeed work.

I gave up with the one underneath it was always fowling up and failing so decided to scrap the kill switch and use a brake light one up here was easy just angle iron . Have to find some suitable rear lights which is very difficult some suggestions would be helpful. Have been wondering if I could wire both here but my switch only had provission for one circuit

Wire both? meaning what? do you wish to restore the safety start circuit as well? You might be able to to it off the one witch using another relay perhaps. As for the lights, aftermarket trailer lights and the like are quite abundant and varied.

If you're clever, you could retrofit it with a dual-filament bulb base.

Dam no brake in them then. I have some F1 style triangle led ones but they flash rather than brake . Is there a way of removing the flash circuit and using them or do the have to be approved with a CE rating. I am thinking they most likely do.

The flash part of the circuit is likely integrated into the circuitry. Unless you're an electronics wizard (I am assuming you're not), I'd say it's there to stay. Now I have to ask- are you trying to fit these lights for the merry hell of it, or is there some greater purpose or need?

I have had a look at the lights internally and they have a NE555 circuit in them on a separate bulb . I presume iven if I took this out my luminosity would be wrong if I used a resister to lower the voltage to give a contract between tail and stop light the , BUM cheap lights. I need the lights for road use.

Have now wired up the switch to provide output through two fuses for rear lights and reversed the switch so that it was a push to make. I still have not found anything half decent to make the brakes out of I finally have the tractor running again after the miss hap with the gears on the flywheel. I need to locate a lamp have seen some on ebay but they are £50.00 for a pair and this is a stretch at present.
