Thanks for the comments, I guess we'll go with black. I picked up some washers to use for flanges tonight. I should be able to finish the exhaust this weekend.

Well, I started hooking the exhaust on this weekend...Until I got doing other stuff. You can see the tab welded behind the pipe and bolted to the frame. I guess I'll also make some kind of bracket where the megaphone is and that should handle holding the pipe to the tractor. If I ever get out to the garage tonight, maybe I'll get the holes drilled through the washers for the upper/lower exhaust connection. It'll use the same gasket as the port, that way It's easy to get another one if nessesary.
verfy good, cant wait to hear the baja going with that

Thanks. This is the second weekend in a row that I really didn't get anything done on this thing. Just when you think your not busy you end up having to do a bunch of other stuff. Anyway, I did get the holes drilled in the washers for the exhaust connection. Now I have all the pieces, they just need to be welded up.
Almost done with the exhaust...almost...Got the lower flange and final bend going, with the help of a magnet and piece of wood.
Cut the lower pipe/megaphone section.
Hammered and bent it into shape, just need to start welding it and do a little more hammering. Also, I need to add one more brace/hanger on the megaphone. Picked up a gallon of yellow rustoleum. I guess I'll just brush paint the frame with that.
Try mounting the GoPro in some foam or something to stop the transfer of the noise. Sounds like it's inside a washing machine on spin cycle. I want to hear more motor and less GGGGGGGGG lol! Great vids though and the slo-mo is cool!

Yeah, I think there's a lot of vibration transfered from everything when it's mounted on the tractor.
I welded up the lower pipe so that the pipe itself is pretty much done. I just need to add a couple braces.
I was worried that things were going to end up bent out of shape when I welded it, but it ended up pretty close.
I agree with will, came out great! The cupplet from washers is neat, i attempted that on my single cyl but i made it from sheet metal and it never sealed. More fab then what my duals have thats for sure
Welded up the braces. I put the exhaust back on and tested it without gaskets just to see how it sounded. When I started putting it back together I remembered that I never went to buy them. At any rate, it is loud, but not like I imagined it would be. Has kind of a neat sound when you back off the throttle. Sort of sounds like the mustang in the bullitt movie. You can see a bunch of white powder from the welding blow out when I crank it over. Of course when I rev it...well that looks like a bit of smoke. I was actually hoping it smokes just a little, draws attention to where the exhaust exits. Also you can see the pipe jumps around a lot. I didn't tighten up the mounting bolts on the lower pipe.
I welded on a couple pieces of bed frame for the firewall/dash. This will hold your switches and junk, and also the back of the hood.
Next I'll run a rod or piece of pipe from the top to the steering column. That should make a pretty rugged setup out of it. There won't be a whole lot of room to hide your wiring and starter solenoid under there, but I think it'll fit.
