I have a 14.5 briggs and a 5 speed peerless transaxle. I plan on doing a pulley swap on it. I want to put a 6 inch on the motor and a 5 on the transaxle. Is this a good ratio for mudding? And is there a way to set the governor to 4000 instead of 3600?

I use a 6" front and 4" rear and it works good, but 5th gear isn't very useful in the woods. I'll be switching back to the stock 6" in the rear. You should have plenty of wheel speed with 6/5 to clean the treads for mudding.

Is there anything else I would need to do to it? I'm not locking the rear end. Is there any place I can get cheap atv tires?
