I just recently recieved a murray mower that i believe is a 94 model that my grandfather bought new. well im a firefighter and looking to make a little mini fire truck looking mower and wanting to get an idea of what size pully needs to be where to get my murray to the 15 to 20mph range.... help please!!!!!!!!

I would try a 6 or 7 in on the front and a 3.5 in the back

How common would stuff be breaking? Also, any suggestions for other cheaper upgrades...Building on a small budget..

I am to.

It wouldn't break that much, mines pulley swapped, and it's doing fine right now, if your only gonna do 20 with it you shouldnt need to modify much, exact the steering maybe and new belt and pulleys

Isn't a 6-7" to 3" overkill? If he want 20mph idk.

A 1:1 pulley ratio will be more in your range for speed. Maybe make the front an inch or so bigger. Id go with a 4" or bigger rear.
