It should run, but you might need to clean/rebuild the carb depending on how long it sat, and if it had ethanol gas in the fuel system.

i got it to run today!!! had to reset the points and get a new condencer. the make shif gas tank i used only let me rum a couple min at a time but it goes. gona try to get the tank cleaned and drive it today as well i hope if the rain holds out!!!

Its definatly made by sears but it might be a roper, if it is, its pretty rare.

If you are not all about keeping the tractor stock you could make a new frame for it that is lower and lighter. then put the body on that and build a sweet racing mower. That is what I would do with it but what I have seen in the mower community and with my self racers are not cheap to build. I'm not trying to tell You what to do that is just what I would do, it would be pretty sweet!

i could make a racer.... i just found 2 other sears tractors look to be a bout the same year(66-70) but went i stop the cat is never home..... so for now a mudder... and then a mudder for my son ..... then a racer... but got some work to do on this one... having some grounding problems with the electrical.
