| This is yet another project started by me but I promise this one will not end up like the others, unfinished and scrapped. I went and rode 2 1/2 hours to get this tractor and 2 1/2 hours back with my grandpa that's no longer with us. So on topic of the build I've been dreaming on this one for almost a year since I acquired it. Its a Ford YT16, it had a 16hp oppy with a Peerless 801, 23" turfs, noting special other than that. Its completely pulled apart right now. I have to go take more pictures cause my stupid Mac screwed up my pictures again, my dad HAD to have this piece of crap. Plans: *Reinforce the weak frame *Direct steering *Motorcycle engine *4wheeler axles *Disk brakes *25"s-27"s all around *Dual exhaust *Sparkpluged exhaust *More that I'll think of later.

| Yeah I was thinking that, and since my dad doesn't want me getting another mower till this one's done it might end up being 4wd with around 25s all the way round, a dif in the front so I could actually turn.... depends if I feel motivated to do that when I start ordering parts for this thing, cost plays a big role in that motivation lol. I still want it fast, around 45mph should do me fine. | |

| This sounds sweet, I'll be following this build. And a 40" or 39" should be good, with two bearings. | |

| Here I go changing my mind again. I simply do not have time to build this into a 4wd beast between school, wrestling season, and other stuff. So this is getting my at489s and some 22s I have sitting around, my 23hp Kohler twin. I don't know what is gunna be the axle yet, it might end up being a fnr from my old Bolens that I fixed. This will all happen after my go-kart. | |

| Well I'm finally going to start building this and my final drivetrain will be the 23 hp Kohler twin, the MTD F-N-R (locked), 7" pulley in the front, 5"-4" in rear, 22s in the back, and 20s in front. MurrayMayhem has two running tractors now and I'm building this as fast as I can (the right way) to go romping together. I have till the 28th of January to finish because I am getting surgery on my right shoulder and two months later I will have the same surgery on my left shoulder. So hopefully I get her done before that! | |

Well whats up with that? That stinks, hopefully it goes well I have torn labrums in both shoulders due to incorrect tackling in Pop Warner football. Because they are torn they both constantly subluxate (partially dislocate) and that makes it to where I cannot be cleared to play football, wrestle, or weight lift. The surgery will put me out of commission for 4 months due to being in slings recovering. Sounds fun, right?

| I finally got slightly motivated to work on this for the first time since before my second shoulder surgery. I preped it for start up and welded up some really nice looking headers Though when I went to start it it puked oil out the front so I have to remedy that problem before o go any farther. | |

| This build stagnated again soon after that last post. Mainly because I found a Ford 460 on cl for $150 compete with an Edelbrock Performer 460 intake. My dad made me "get rid of" my mowers before I could get the motor (they now are at MurrayMayhem's house). After completing the tear down I realized that it was the ultra desired D0VE-A block that has thicker main webs allowing it to be four bolted and since it was the first revision (-A) it also has the Boss 429 bulkhead meaning even the front and rear main can be four bolted. So of course I'm planning on selling this motor because of the great profit I can make from it. Then my finger. Last Sunday I was working for a guy welding and he was instructing me on how to build what he wanted. Well he forgot a step and asked me to cut the welds off with a cut off wheel. The grinder had no guard and the wheel exploded, slicing my left pointer finger and partially severing my tendon. Then I got to sit around in a hospital for 8 hours before getting surgery. | |

| GREAT find on that 460 man. My best friend has a '69 T-bird with a '77 460 P.I (police interceptor) engine. I think he said something like 400 horsepower at idle How do the bores, rings, valves and lifters look? need a complete rebuild or just a freshen up? And that sucks about your finger man, I hope you get feeling better so you can get back out and work | |

| Yeah I love the 460, the one in my truck runs like a top and it has been beat to hell and back, has only 80psi of compression but still has more power than any other truck of its era, even my dads f250 with a efi 351. | |

I think I'll get those, dinkle ball hone it and reassemble it with the 0.520"/0.520" ancient General Kenetics cam (forget the duration off the top of my head) and sell it as a short block

I love BBFs too, I really want to get a IH 392 and offset grind the crank for a longer stroke

| The tractor is looking great sorry about your finger I am planning on doing a build like this with a honda 250cc liquid cooled 2 stroke dirtbike motor so it was really cool to see that some one had the same idea but I think that kohler will do awesome in that tractor | |

I figured this will be easier and I know where I can get some axles for basically free. Also I'm planning on making a full tube chassis bc MurrayMayhem's uncle has a large hydraulic pipe bender and it'll be easier then the frame I already have. " />
