| Figured i'd post this here cause this is my build entry as of now, approved by Doc, but this is my 84 murray i got for free. I'm good friends with the head mechanic at my local garage, and i asked him if there we're any mowers in the junkyard. He said that there was one so i went and looked at it. It was to far gone to bother with (old yard king, rotted into the ground, literally) so when i got back in and he said that a guy that lives about 5 mins from the garage has one hes going to scrap. Wanna go get it? And of course i aggreed. When i got it it was mostly complete, missing three tires, and didnt have a seat. So I commenced work on it, and i gave up on it as it needed a new carb and i just was going to wait to get one. However, two months later, i almost sold it then i realized it only needs a little engine swap for it to run (thats what i thought) and about three weeks later, it rolled out of the shop under its own power. However, it had steering problems, and clutch issues. So after i finally destroyed the steering, i finally decided its time to rebuild it. So thats how this rebuild came about. In its current state. Will keep you guys posted on parts and things i gather up for the build. LINK FOR THIS BUILD IN THE BUILD OFF BELOW https://www.atltf.com/t4803-1984-murray-build-off-entry#65529

| Nice! I see you've got a 12hp I/C Briggs, same as I have! Could you post some pics of the oil filler tube and clip that holds it onto the shroud as that part is missing on mine | |

| Thats the best i got. the tube has a flat back on it so the clip which has two "prongs" that go in front of the tubes flat back to hold it in place. Will get a better photo tomorrow. | |

| Thanks. I think I know what it looks like now. Would be nice just to see the clip on its own though. | |
