| Anyone got any good tips or tricks bending pipe when you do not have a pipe bender or someone with one you can borrow?

| I usually do the botch, bennd, and weld method. Worked great for everything I've done. Then the welds can be cleaned up with a grinder afterwards. | You can get quite a good bend if you fill the pipe with fine sand and heat it up and bend it. There shouldn't be any kinks because the sand should keep the shape. | |

| I buy pre bent 90 degree sections from lowes/home depot. 1" electrical conduit. They aren't the tightest bends but they're usable for some stuff. If you want less than 90 of course you would cut out the section you need and weld it in. My simplicity exhaust is made from that except right where it goes to the engine. That tighter bend was another exhaust I think. Or maybe it wasn't, I'd have to look at it. | |
