Am I the only one this happens to?

Out of all the websites I frequent, this is the only one that consistently tries to kick me back onto that gawd awful mobile version and also logs me out all the time.

I even have the “keep me logged in” check box selected.

The mobile site of this forum is absolutely horrendous. Incredibly hard to use and burns my eyes like sulfuric acid. Personally, I think you’d be better off if it was just disabled.

I’m using an iPhone 10 when the logout and “mobile” stuff happens.

I’m pretty sure the issue isn’t on my end, as all the other sites I log in to don’t have either of these issues.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I've never had it switch over to the mobile version automatically.


A garden tractor forum I'm on does it all the time though, for whatever reason.

I’ve had it happen, but it’s rare. I’ve been on for about 4 years and it’s happened twice maybe.

However, it does log me out once every couple weeks which is annoying

Yes, I just used my powers of logging in with the Godmode account for the first time and confirmed that the mobile version is still turned off, and is suppose to be forcing the Web version.  Is it possible your bookmark is pointing to the old mobile version?

I've had it happen to me before. @TourMax download the Topic'It app, and you can use that to chat on the forum.

Still logging out and going to the mobile version.

I don't use book marks, I type the address in.

There's something (either on the forum or on my iPhone) that consistently wants to kick me on to the mobile version......

No thanks. Too many apps "spy" on you these days. I don't download any more than I absolutely need.

The problem lies with your browser's identifier string, also known as a user agent. Sometimes, depending on the browser it'll force mobile versions to show up, or approximate a mobile version to appear on screen. Not many *easy* ways around this - ultimately it either means getting into the browser code and changing the user agent/identifier string- either by add-ons for the browser or by coding on the device itself.

Both of my mobile devices do that from time to time, just... not here. Hope this helps in some way to get you around the problem.

Curious as to why your browser is overriding forum settings...  cache?

When it first started doing it, I cleared safari cache and it still insisted on pulling up the mobile site.

I just tried clearing safari again and it came up with the full site this time.

We’ll see if it holds or not I guess....

Iphone still bringing up the full site. Maybe a second cache clear was needed all the time....

Glad to hear @TourMax, I thought you may have found a bug with the host.  Hope your back and shoulder starts feeling better soon!
