| So, my build got delayed by having to put in a s**tload of OT at work to have our 1919 Climax up and running on time. (btw, big thumbs up on that!!) Anyway, my Bro-n-law (and partner-in-crimes against innocent lawn maintenance equipment) thinks I should restore the JD rather then mod it. I like how the JD has a very rigid frame, but there are a few problems that need fixed.. (wiring for one) If I do restore the JD, I might just start with a home built frame (with front suspension) for my "project", and just go from there... But I'm rambling.. So thoughts? Restore or modify? | |

| Well, normally, when I get a mower with a good deck that I can probably make some money on, I'll fix it up and sell it. Now if that JD did not have a deck and you didn't have a spare one, then I'd say mod it, but since it does, I personally would fix it up and sell it. | |

| Well those series of JD are quite common and not really something I would consider to be a collectable, so a restoration doesn't really seem to be in order. Of course that's only my opinion though.
It might make for a real cool off-road or even racing tractor!
