I brought home another 990 today. When I picked it up the steering was stuck and it didn't start. Took about 20 min to have her running and driving. Lots of stuck parts, but so far they all loosened up with a bit of lube. Over all it's in great shape.

Nice find! Yeah, I had that exact issue with mine and the steering, one spindle was rusted into place.

A grease gun, some penetrating oil and a gentle touch with a pry bar. I was driving it around the yard.

16 hp. Cast iron Briggs. This is the newer style without the starter generator.
