MTD built, could go under a few different names such as a Sears Craftsman LT10/11, a fella here has an orange Montgomery Ward that was identical to it. Check out MTD model 134-618-599
Oh my! The manual for the MTD you quoted says it has a Peerless 813b transaxle. The people where it is sitting work shift work and I couldn’t raise anyone today. I did ask and was told maybe the other day. Now I have to push this.

Chances are it has VariDrive with a peerless 910 f/r diff, there were so many variations of that tractor though so it's hard to know without an actual model number, my Warhorse is one of them. That style was made anywhere from about 1979/80 up until 86/87ish I believe. If it's anything like mine it's worth trying to get your hands on, the chassis is decent, the steering seems really rugged and the front axle is much better than the normal stamped ones you see.
I finally managed to contact the owner of the old mower today. They gave it to me. It is a Wizard/MTD, FNR transmission and gutted engine (no head or flywheel). But all the sheet metal is straight and the rust is superficial. I hauled it home and put it in the ‘new junkyard’. (I am moving all my ‘spares’ to a place that isn’t so visible from the road to make the yard look better. Gotta keep momma happy)

Nice, good score! I came across one today at the salvage yard that's just another iteration of it (and mine) and luckily was able to score the motor mount bushings from it for The Warhorse! I really wish I knew what to classify this model/style as besides just calling it a "square body", there's seems to be so many of them rebranded. Might need to start a thread on them! Lol
Try this out, I'm pretty sure this is what yours is based on the shifter and pedal location. Mine is C459-60311 which are Canadian model numbers, mine is a year older and has a slightly different shifter setup
Here's some resources for you, the last one is a manual albeit not a download able one (still can't find one) but you may be able to find a way to save and print it page by page.
