Small diesel engine

so my dad is a yard dog driver (the guy who pulls trailers around the truck yard or factory) and he brought up that it would be cool to get one of those reefer trailer diesel engines and putting it on a lawn mower or go kart . how would you think this would work?

or even a small tractor engine. lol i would love to have a diesel mudder

Grigg over at 4BT swaps did this on an old Roper. Seemed to work pretty good.. I plan to do the same with my roper. It really depends on whether the trans axle has a horizontal or vertical input.

I never knew of that website, I know there are alot of videos on youtube with Ford Rangers with 4BT swaps, there used in alot of small machinery i guess

yea thats something like i wanna do. but i would need a nice sized diesel engine because i plan on really giving it a hard time.

yeah I wouldnt want to do a diesel Ranger thinking of it, it would be a lot of work, I would want a new Truck so I dont have to deal with Seized and rusted bolts/nuts.
