How to get Hemi Sound Exhaust

I know how to tune 2 stroke, they're exhaust is like a non mowing supercharger. But not so familiar with tuning on 4 strokes.

Well imagine the engine is a speaker, then to make it sound massive it should help with a box with crossover pipes with no filling off course. Straight pipes are plain noisy and not very healthy for the engine I guess. Not in the long run, if you think about it, the flames it shoots out would be best kept in the cylinder to kick the piston down, and not to leave the cylinder

not relly. the flames come out on the exaust stroke. if they were still in the engine something would be wrong.

True and not true, cus a backstroke is exactly that when the port opens it pushed some leftover "flames" from the last stroke inside again just before ignition, and it acts as a boost. Tho I might mix this again with a 2 stroke lol.

You want loud, go with a megaphone pipe.

Yes, they will amplify your exhaust tone and make it deeper, but your neighbors will probably start shooting.


Generally megaphones are shaped as a cone from the header to the exhaust opening.

Some have a bit of reverse cone built in to the end

Mine could care less lol

i tell my neighbors "you dont like it, get used to it" they usually dont complain again

When I get my build going and opposed ima build like a box that I can muffle and leave empty for show.

Straight pipes is fun for a while but gets too loud after awhile, at least to me
