I got a spicer 6 speed transaxle
4360-7

when im riding it, it jerks and make a loud ticking noise.
it doesnt jerk or tick when im going down hill much but it jerks and ticks ALOT when im going up hill.
It does it in all the gears


SKIP TO 45 SECONDS
ANY IDEAS?
I havent takin it apart yet but id like to know what id be looking for?

i would go through it and make sure the mounting bolts are tight

i dont think its that bc i checked and they were fine.
i herd it might be the shifting forks?

got the rear end off

got it open

found the problem

a broken shifting fork and a retainer ring

cleaned it up a bit and ordered the new parts

Thatll do it!

You should convert it to oil (or at grease zerks) and replace axle seals (if they are worn) while its apart.

ya i thought about converting it but im just gonna stick with grease and i am gonna put grease zerks. the seals look good but if i can find some seals somewhere ill get them because i dont wanna order parts again because i dont want to wait for them to come.
