| I should have added a caveat that I don't necessarily suggest using atf for crankcase lubricant, just that I have done so with no ill effects. In geared tranny's, yes it will act as a penetrating oil to loosen up the sludge. It has a higher vapor and flash point than dino oils and most synthetics, and a lower freeze point. It has a lower viscosity than most engine oils, but it holds that viscosity better under extremes of heat and cold. It isn't as good at friction abatement as carbon based oils, but it works pretty well. | |

| I'll add that I use ATF in the front forks in my race bikes. The viscosity is about 15w (cold). It definitely acts as a multi-viscosity oil as Lawren said. I don't know what the hot viscosity is though, but it's probably pretty high. | |

| Minor update here-
We've had some pretty crazy temperature swings since I loaded it with ATF. So far, everything feels great, and shifts great!

You do NOT want to get me started on this Global Warming hogwash. Somewhere between Suzuki and Gore is one of the biggest dungpiles you're ever gonna see. And if I get started, I might have to ban myself for what I say...

| Minor change here- I've been sitting on a pair of Carlisle Strykers in 22x11-8 for quite some time. Problem being that mounted on factory mower wheels, they wouldn't fit. Too wide, they were hitting the walls of the carry box. Last weekend I finally sorted out the solution. I altered some 4-bolt hubs I had laying around, and put them on the axleshafts. Then I dismounted the Strykers from the mower rims and remounted them on 4-bolt 8x7 trailer rims. BOOM- that got them just far enough outboard to clear the box walls! The problem came down to this- as I've said a million times, tires rarely if ever actually match their advertised size. The Kenda Scorpions were sized as 22x11-8 but actually measured about 21x9. The Strikers measured up at nearly 23x12. | |

| Those look like the same as my Woolybooger copies. I think mine are Kenda's or something. Anyway, you'll be amazed at the traction you get from these! Almost too good with a locked Diff = pushes and plows the front wheels while turning tight radii. But it's worth it! Â Â Â | |

| Yep, I run 5psi in mine. I might try 4psi to smooth out the ride a little, but I'm a little worried about spinning the rim in the tire. Such good tires! Now you know why I tried so hard to save mine! Â Â Â Â | |

| Yeah- that's what I get for bashing it off a chunk of concrete, while climbing a big pile of construction debris. Please note how the AXLE is actually keeping the case straight and together. I backed it off the pile and drove a few feet with it like that, so I could have some smooth ground to inspect it on. The case may be trashed, but the Doc Locker° lives on!!! | |

That sucks Doc. Do you think a skid plate would have saved it?
