Take a look at how stock car cages are built. or rock crawlers.

what do you want to see gone?

Top view is a mess, and what the sudden square in the side view, also the front triangles are to shallow angle, meaning more tube needed.

you should use tubing that is at least 11/2 inches with 0.120-wall

top view was ment to show the frame. triangles are much stronger. I would get 5 8ft-ers. .120 wall I think

Yeah .120 wall tubing will work thats what some peaple use for Rock buggy frames and cages and it works great.

Ok, clearing cobwebs and scraping the mold, im giving this a bump for just some new ideas and new people to look at it.

No, i dont plan on doing this at all really, but i think its a great idea. My local junkyard had a pipe rack with all the pipe in the world. I think id just need a pipe bender, i could probably notch myself.

I think .120 wall tube would be a little over kill for some thing lawn mower sized.
With a well designed frame thinner wall tube can be extremely strong plus a lot of weight would be saved.  Some of the atv frames I cut apart (small cc size) have been around .065 wall tube, there is not much tube on one of those frames but they still can take a beatin.

Here is an example tube frame I started, It was made out of .065 wall tube (it was cheap tube some guy gave me) and was over 14 feet long. I sat the very ends up on saw horses and sat a complete 350in the center of it, and it only sagged around 1/8 to 3/16 . I still had more bracing to do to it and then I bet it would have not sagged at all.  In the beginning of building this frame I did all the notching by hand but towards the end of it bought one of those cheap tubing notchers, they are worth the $.

I had that same idea wile building the exocage on my tradesman. I got an old kart frame with allota tubing but missing the top cage, and my friend has an old small two seater with the cage on it. The two seater is the perfect size for a tractor and I could use tube from my kart to reinforce it. I know how to do it now so I might go for it. The hills are so steep around here rollovers are a daily thing.

Exactly, it would be a added safty thing. dont gotta worry about a tractor landing on you. You could try more things and it would looks cool too.

Oh I try anyway!  problem is my method of ensuring I dont end up under the tractor ends up keepin me from preventing the roll in the first place. As I mentioned before, W.V. (at least most of it) is all steep hills. If you cant pull hills you pretty much have no place to ride. I stand on my seat when climbin so I can get clear quick. Whitch means I have no control of the clutch, so when it starts goin over I cant slip the belt to keep the front down. If I had a cage not only would I be protected in a roll but it would likely prevent most of them.

It was going to be a boat/ buggy project but after moving away for the one pond and prioritizing my projects I sent it to the scrapyard.  It does look like a dogsled.  
The trucks in the far background are my neighbor's, the pile directly behind it yep its mine.

At least you have a notch-er and new skills for something that might come up, you never know. nice work, its something for me to conciser if i was to make a go kart or something.

I've done the same thing. Makes it kind of dangerous without the clutch!
