| Could use a half link. Do you have any adjustment built into the rear axle to tighten chain?

| yes the pillow blocks have slide holes about 1/2 inch of play. I went back after the video and relized I had drilled the holes on one side a 1/4 off to the front. I redrilled and remounted them. Going to need an idler pulley latter but for testing it out this will work.

| This is a great build. A long overdue experiment as well. Seems to me that it should work. I don't think there's a better way really. The multiplied load on the output of the hydro may create more heat. The hydro will be working harder (like going uphill in both directions). Maybe doubling up on the fan to make it more efficient and adding a cold air intake duct would help if needed. the chain is going to stretch anyway, so just test it and keep an eye on it. Moving the pillow blocks in slots will work, but the pull from the chain may yank the axle back to the loose position. I think I'd stack washers or spacer plates under the pillow blocks to adjust the chain. That way you could keep the bolt holes instead of slots. Just thinking out loud here. Love the build! | |

| I suspect he lost too much torque for hills and mud, going from such a large sprocket to a small one. Definitely not a good application if you're trying to conquer a hill | |
