Maybe try google PEERLESS 700, and not PEAR  Very Happy

There is not a good writeup on the peerless 700 on here, but here's some links.

Yea to me stuff like that would be much more useful than The Product review Section.

also here's a nice Fastening plate for the 700. If anyone has the excact measurements please post em.

That's quite nice- maybe too nice. Do you know the material type/thickness? With all the holes in it, I'd be a bit concerned about the structural integrity, unless it's beefier than it looks. Let me look around, I thought I had seem common dimensions somewhere.

It's steel and 1/4" thick so its moore than enough. It's 40 bucks to buy but I don't have the link here(at work).

Think I will cut mine in 1/4" or beefier 6082 Aluminium. Strong and light.

Someone with admin rights, please re-name the title to PEER and not PEAR, since this won't show up in search...

And also, does anyone know what threads is used on the PEERLESS 700 mount? Is it those self threading bolts or is it Standard UNC?

Hows this for thought!

Well not really I read it over at Heymow, that they never run theyre 700's at 1:1 but much more overdrive like 3:1 so the torque don't goes to the box.
And this shatteres my plan on running almost 1:1 or even less. Since the clutch is like a 4" and I planned on a bigger 5" on the 700.
But I see they reccommend atleast a 6" on the motor to a 3-4 on the 700. If not you'll blow the gearboxes.

Yeah that's what I thought, but im not good with sprockets, and where the actual torque will go. I'm thinking they might have a point also, and im guessing nobody ran a 700 harder than those guys, so...

I'm thinking ya have it backwards... a smaller pulley on the 700 and a larger on the motor will put MORE torque on the gearbox... If they are running it that way, it obviously can handle it... but any pulley/sprocket smaller than stock on a tranny overdrives it. Specifically, it makes more torque stress on the input shaft and gears. it DOES make for less torque on the output shafts, but you have just moved the torque stress from the output to the input.

Nope, they overdrive the trans, for some reason.
