White/ MTD GT- 205 muddin/ trail/ utility mower

I did some tradeing around recently and got a early 2000s gt 205 hydro with 4 lugs on the back and im planning on makeing it into a utility mower and a mud mower. And i was wondering how to get more traction belt wise and make it faster. Im locking it after christmas and i may lift it up it all depends on wether i can get the metal.

as far as belt traction- not much you can do, put a tighter and stronger spring on your clutch, maybe design a double idler clutch.
as far as making it faster- you cant. there is no way to make a hydro go faster, thats why we dont like them for mudding. if you pullyswap, it will burn up. you can try adjusting the linkages, but thats about it.

I umm i kinda wrecked. I lost traction going down a hill, jerked it sideways and went into the ditch. I have old tractor tires i was going to make tracks or just cut the tires to the size of the back tires and use industrial zip ties and tie them down since my rims have 4 holes around the outside

someone else on here did something like that, forgot who it was though. they used chains instead of zip ties. i dont really think they would hold real well

Theyre high tread tires so i figured theyd stay id i tightened them enough and i have som little angle iron that i could bolt on to keep it together

Yea lol ive gotta fix the right frint spindle. In the crash it bent up so im gonna put heat on it tm and try to bend it back

I figured it out lol. But anyway this is the tire that im cutting and over treading the rear tires with. Ive also been thinking about entering the 2015 build off with an older bolens and make it a 4x6 but i have no idea what the rules are or how it works so im still on the fence.
Back to the mower, upon further looking over the hood and body i dont think its gonna be able to bolt back on with the damage it took in the crash. So what im going to do is build one from angle iron and wood/ thin sheet metal. I also got some springs from a local hardware store for a buck a piece and since they are heavy duty they are going under the seat for more Cushioning for the trails.

what you got for an engine? 18 opposed?

New handle

so it been a while ive just been busy and the mower is completely dissassembled other than the frame motor and steering. i was in the process of rewiring it and screwed up majorly. it has an ignition box that i can not figure out how to rewire to accomidate the safety switch by pass fearlessfront did. i bought a new spicer 6 speed for it a while back. as of now i may just build a massey ferguson 1655 that i got for free for the 2015 build off
