Hello everyone.
I am from Lee County Virginia and thought I would check this place out Smile
I enjoy working on tractors and such and am currently attempting to make a go-kart out of a MTD & Craftsman frame with a 8hp Briggs.

By the way,
I have a bunch of Murray Widebody parts and some JD LT155 parts for sale as well as 2 Craftsman tractors for sell as well.
I also make small garden type trailers out of mower frames and am currently working on two of those.

If you'd like to know more feel free to comment and I will get back to you Very Happy

Welcome. Is your go kart tractor engine a vertical shaft 8hp or horizontal shaft? I have a couple of horizontal 8's I always wanted to use for a minibike, but they are a little bit bulky for that.

is this the Mr. Modified im subed to on YT? OvO
if so I watched your rally mower test run today xD
awesome tractor man

what I did is take the front half of a MTD frame and sit it inside of a craftsman frame and bolted it together (I don't have a welder)
that way I could bolt the MTD axle to the MTD frame
I mounted a 5 speed murray trans upside down where the engine cutout on the craftsman frame is so the shift rod and pulley are sticking out the bottom then I will mount the engine (vertical crank) where the muffler cutout is on the frame
I will have to block it up cause I want to use the deck pulley that way I will have a nearly 2:1 pulley ratio (trans is pulley swapped)

all I have done is the frame together (still needs work)
trans mounted and front axle mounted
ill just have to work on it till I get it if I do xD

sorry for the long response but I thought id give a run down of everything incase someone else sees it

I'll try to if I can but the only camera I have is the one built into my laptop. I don't have a lot of tools that I could really use heh XD
Just a Black&Decker battery drill and they aren't that great  :/
among other tools but not much specialty tools like welders or a nice drill and such
But ill look into making a thread sometime Smile
