Watching… I had missed this thread before.

I REALLY like that subframe with outboard bearings. Neat stuff! I’ve always thought that should be what everyone does that runs a rig hard. Now to read and find out more about it. Is that a new addition? Will there be a cross brace added also? I need to study this.

Absolutely, ill put a cross brace, and also tie the front transaxle brackets into that subframe, then mount the whole thing to the tractor frame. the idea if to have a nice strong base that takes some stress off the transaxle. The brake calliper for the hydrolic disk brake will also mount to it somehow.

Hydraulic disc brakes? This is a step up from the trans brake Smile

Heck, blocks of wood rubbing the rear tires would be a step up from the trans brakes I've had the pleasure of using! Lol

Finished the ''trans subframe''  installed in in the tractor frame.
installed the disk brake, i used a universal kit from amazon, welded the disk to a 3/4'' weld on hub with a centering jig i 3d printed.

Now installing calliper braket welding in the subframe reinforcements and then were up to seat positionning, id like to lower it so its not so flip happy when doing donuts  yard - The 18hp Yard-Man Trailmower - Page 9 1f604

so yeah, its reeeeaally wide haha, this is the narrowest i can set it up with the brakes too.. lets hope the ale supports reinforce it enough for this setup to last.

for the brakes im probably doing a handbrake lever, i dont love the idea of adding a third pedal, theres not much space of one.
