Haspin 2017, June 7th-11th, Mowercycle (mowrons!) gang.

Where: Haspin Acres, located in Laurel, IN
When: June 7th through 11th, 2017.
What: Offroad rally, talk 1hop, swap parts, and hang out with some awesome friends.
Who:  Anybody with an off-road mower can hang with the Mowercycle Gang at this rally.

Haspin is about 800 acres. Trail difficulty ranges from easy to "Are you out of your mind?!?".

Ride anywhere but in the campground. No electricity or water provided in the campground.
There is one set of restrooms and showers, about 1/8th mile from campground, and they can be very muddy.
Water is available for hosing off rides and riders at office, and beside drag strip.

Camping is available in woods or campground.

Last I knew, the price to get in is about $18 per day, active military members get an additional discount (usually free, but does require military ID).

Haspin requires all riders to wear helmets on all trails. If you do not bring a helmet, they won't let you ride.

If you are under age and planning to come, you must work out the Haspin Acres waiver ahead of time or come with a parent.  We do not want anyone to drive a long distance and be turned away at the gate.  We will not pretend to be anyone's parents, and we are not responsible for you.  

As we are doing this rally jointly with Steelsoldiers, be respectful of these very cool guys and their very cool rides.

Expect to break your tractor.  Be prepared with tools and parts.

Will they allow bike helmets? I would think they would be much easier to wash the mud out of and its still technically a helmet. And for the speed we're going does it make much difference?

I think I'm gonna just show up with my old rusty 1980's bone stock snapper this year....Maybe just some light mods, like fresh champion spark plug and some stp oil treatment.

I have a flat black bike helmet, not sure if it's legal.

I would recommend buying an actual motocross or whatever helmet. The trails can be nasty and you don't want to risk a head injury.

Man, we are already less than 2 months away from this trip! Gotta get a move on getting things ready!

i have requested off june 8th and 9th so i plan to be there bright and early Thursday morning, ill be bringing the dynamark and probably a couple other toys just in case, gonna be awesome finally meeting all you guys

My current plan is to drive the s10 out there if it's done in time. Right now....it's uh.....not quite done.

Yeah if I can speed build it in time sure. I basically just gotta find a transaxle for it, either two 820s or another MST so I have a spare and ill just rebuild the one I have and drop it in. Which trike, the one im building? Yeah if that gets finished too lol. If not I may be riding the Trailblazer and working on making everybody deaf. Really hoping I can do something with the Snapper though. Have a surgery this week so probably gonna lose another weekend.

Gotta get another motorcycle and a truck too. Really getting into crunch time...

Yeah I think I'm going to just try focusing on the truck. Pretty sure I can sleep in the back with a tarp over the roll bar and bed sides. Be cozy back there.

Youre going, even if I have to drag you out there. We can load the Ninja on the trailer.

What am I supposed to do with the ninja? Off road it at haspin? Maybe I could try the mx track with it...

Well if I drag you out thats means youll be in Ohio for a few days so you can ride with me. Then once we get to Haspin youre on your own lol. Maybe Stretchimal will be oh so kind as to lend you a rig.

And there's the 1986 plymouth reliant I just picked up.....and junk to get rid of/sell in the garage to make room for stuff....Got tracked vehicles and amphibious argo 6 wheelers to sell. Gas powered soda can crushers and about 30 some mower engines I need to pick through. The model T project and the model A chassis I need to sell. Forgot about the 2001 tomos moped I wanted to modifiy with one of those kits. In theory, there is literally years of projects here I have to weed through.

Even so, I would have went if the chevy was done. Be nice next year though after it's all painted up...
