Mowers have recently became one of my hobbies. I have several older John Deere hydros that I enjoy working on. I’m currently swapping a 26hp 3cyl yanmar out of a 3215a into a JD 400 I picked up cheap. I could post photos/videos of this project if anyone is interested. I plan on just using the modified 400 for mowing and utility purposes.
While researching mowers and motor swaps for this project I started coming across several off-road mower builds on YouTube and eventually found my way to this site. I just went and picked up a peerless 820 to start a rally/off-road build after I finish up the 400. I’ve really enjoyed going through old build threads on here and wanted to join in.
