| I have busted two different transaxle this weekend. One was I Foote an one was a tecumseh. I was running the same pully ratio an same tires on both with a 12hp Briggs, neither one was locked. What could be causing this? | |

| Where/how are they breaking?
If it's the case itself that keeps cracking, you need to examine the stresses upon it. Could be that frame flex is getting the best of it? | |

| My tires are 20/11/8 tractor tires. I'm running a 4 inch front and a 5 on trans. I don't think it's frame flex | |

| i havent snapped a tranny yet. i beat up a hydro and the frame has no bracing. it flexes. its all on where the stress is on the frame. bouncing can twist the ranny if its not mounted properly or yes braced right to keep it from twisting. most transmissions have a forward and rear mount to help it from twisting | |

| I would sy its flex. I would check your mounts to make sure they are all tight. Yes, the two arms that grab the front of the case on each side are required to be there. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Both arms are on the front an all bolts are tight. Do you think the gear could have been bad | |

| i doubt the gear would go bad just like that. it might have seized or something inside caught. or a wobbly bushing caused issues? who knows. could be any one of those things | |
