Craftsman LT1000 mudder build

Subject: Craftsman LT1000 mudder build July 14th 2013, 4:49 pm

Starting new build thread on my craftsman lt1000 mudder project. I got it as a frame for scrap and took the axle out of my old yard
Machine that was rusting to pieces and took an opposed twin that I also got for scrap and put it on there but I don't have a magneto so I decided today to put my extra 12.5 hp flathead on it.

Put a 1 1/2in body lift to clear the tires

Time for the new engine so I can go mudding Very Happy

Still need to hook everything up but it started pooring so that's where I'm at.

Any ideas on how to put a 6 3/4 in pulley on the front, I know I have to take the belt holder off but my clutch will hit it.

So here's where the beast sits for tonight, made my battery box and got the pull start on and the electric start hooked up, all that is left is to put the belt on and get some fuel line, got it running on the first pull after sitting for about 4 months Very Happy

Looks great. I love my 12.5 flathead lol. Is it getting new tires?

Got it running and driving great it is a beast offroad and for speed it is about 17

The front ones are great for water wheelying and the rears are ok the dig down and grip could use a little more tread but they work

Well I scrounged the parts off of this to build the BRUSHEATER so it's now in pieces till I get more parts to rebuild this
