Has any one thought of putting a valve spring for example through the bolt in between the transaxle supports and the frame. i think the belt would fall of either way ? hmmmm

Its doable. The valve sprungs will compres to easily. With a side input tranny , it would be easy
, just run a jackshaft similar to a vari drive and a tensioner for the back belt

Valve spring really isnt alot of travel so i dont see to much improvement but its there. i dont really think you would jump the belt, but you would have to build a belt retainer that moves/attacked to the axle.

Another thing is that it would have to act like a swing arm more than articulating, and the front bolts that the axle is mounted to would be the pivot point, maybe to much stress when they twist, and maybe breaking the case or loosening the screws.

Shifting linkage would move all around your rear fenders as the axles travels.

I don't think that little of travel will dismount the belt

You might be surprised at just how little misalignment can cause a belt to walk off a pulley.

I think Red's onto something, with a belt keeper setup that rides with it. Might wear the belt a little faster, though.

I was thinking of doing something similar to this but with AYP chassis seat springs on the rear corners of the trans axle over the axle's and make a pivot at the front. the amount of travel the springs have is not enough to throw the belt off the trans pulley.

now I am thinking of running a deck pully for my trans, it is for a 1/2" belt but looks like a 3/4" belt would fit in it. Smile

Yeah the valve springs was just an example we have a bunch of little springs hrre at work that are the perfect size but theres alot of key points that have to be checked . Theres a lot of points where this could go bad . I mean its doable like yall said but the bugs need to be worked out

Well when I get my peerless 801 for my tractor I'm gonna do something on the rear for suspension. there will be a pivot point on the front and the springs on the rear.

Youll need all kinds of retainers, not just on the transaxle.
