The MTD has achieved bass

So, this all got started when one day when me and a friend were talking about how we get around on track days and larger car shows. He was using a kids bike which just didn't cut it. I then pointed to this MTD sitting in the corner. He agreed only on the account that we make it as ridiculous and ricey as possible. This project was done using only parts that were on hand, not a single dime has been spent. Now, onto pictures.

The oldest picture I have of it, fresh after it was dropped off at my house by my uncle.



It then got tucked away for about half a year until I actually did anything with it.



First off was removing the deck and everything that went with it.



Then the original motor got sold off and I threw a B&S 10HP onto it, with complimentary Honda badge.

Then to lower the front I just flipped the axle and re-welded the spindles. I understand that this is a horrible way to do it but since this thing will never go above 10MPH it'll be fine.



When I had the transaxle out to replace that dreadful FNR with a 5spd I had to take a couple fun pictures.





Once that was in I threw on a useless ebay temperature gauge because what would rice be without pointless gauges.



And a car alarm siren just because why not.



Old headlights were junk so on went some $10 TSC ones that I had laying around.



Then I got to work on audio. Two amps, one 2x150W bridged into 450W powering the MTX 8" road thunder and a 2x100W powering the two smaller speakers in the fenders. All that power is channeled through a MTX crossover so I can better control the sound. The first image is just me testing everything out, the following pictures are of it installed.













Power to all of that is then controlled by this switch.



For the finishing touch I have to show a beauty shot of my JDM racing stripes.






Soon I will be tearing the engine and transaxle back out and converting it to all electric. Need more room for batteries.

Are you kidding? That's PERFECT for a lowered honda parody build! Face it... The general populace has NO idea what they're doing with these things, such as cutting the coils to lower the car without any regard to the horrible geometry it creates. Don't change a thing!

I even heated up the spindles with a torch and kicked the top of the tire a bit for some hella sick negative camber, yo.

Defiantly needs stance. Like 45degree tire angles. I love this thing.

When I throw a straight axle on I might put U-joints on the ends and weld up some pillow blocks so I can stance the rear too.

Dont forget to stretch the tires on the rims and add front fenders that the tire will rub on every turn or bump.

They already do rub against the bumper and frame because the ghetto lowering.

Death kart wasn't gonna need it so it was donated to the rice tractor. I did one good base weld around the ring and then added little spots all around to make it look cruddy.

The original seat wasn't that comfortable and since I had a spare seat I decided to do something about it.



Three bolts holding it down to the stock seat mounting plate.



Put the backrest back on only to find that the mounting rails bumped up against the crossover when it was down.



Moved it over a couple inches and it clears just fine. I'm not really worried about it hitting anything because this thing is just for cruising and laughs.



And tah-dah! One comfy MTD with the battery box still easily accessible. I removed the gas tank too in preparation for the switch over to an electric drivetrain.

what hapned you could pi$$ off so many people with this
