sup guys im taking my old truck to a new level, but still have some use of the bed cause thats what a truck is intended for... im going to take a awhile to build it to how i want it im not going all out just mainly level it lower it some not like dragging bs but level it out and lower it 3 in rear and 2 in front...
Current specs of the truck: 110k-120k 305 tbi E03 block code same as a L03 rated hp 170hp 235 ft lb torque Factory roller cam 2 main bolt 700r4 4 speed auto with o/d 10 bolt 3.45 gear ratio 2wd Long wheel base body has probably over 200k-300k on it lol
weight last time on scales with me in it and my father doing a scrap run back in november was 4365 lbs, thats 2 people in it i was 300 at time father 200 something half tank of gas has 25 gallon tank, tool box full of tools a 60 lb floor jack spare tire in bed and under bed so roughly truck weighs id say 3800 lbs which about the same as a 3rd gen camaro
needs a few things prior to building anything like a drivers side door with new hinges some new gauges and a steering column brake line for rear drums...
Plans: Get rid of the TBI junk and computer,i know there is some tuning i could do but having a tuned burned for my truck is pricey estimated cost is between 300-500 bucks and no guarantee it would accept it on the first run and might have to make serveral attemps at burning and flashing the ecm so im not going down that dark road, fuel injection is nice but not for me,
Heads Intake Carb maybe port and polish depending on what heads i go with Lt1 cam or LT4 cam 1.5 or 1.6 rockers new timing chain new distributor possibly a stall converter from a s-10 there direct bolt on and good for a 2200 A/C by pass Fuel pressure regulator unless i go with a new electric pump-5-8 psi now it has 25psi-30psi from stock pump for the tbi
Im going to be trying to get away with all this used mainly attempting some junk yard runs and some other stuff i want it to be running freely off from the ecu, with the correct mods and tuning there are plenty of resources of tbi motors that have went carbed heads and cam swap and produce a well healthy over 350 hp and 400 ft lb of torque without the bottom end even being touched, i dont want an ls1 swap or 350 ls1 would be a pain due to wiring needing different trans different computers and cluster and 9 times outta 10 all the builds ive seen ls swapped they ran people from 3000-4000 and sometimes more not to mention the drive shaft having to be shorted and ect so this option would be best for me maybe 1300-1400 tops maybe cheaper if i can get it all used if u want some builds where i have gotten these numbers from the HP and Torque just ask and ill post a link and keep in mind every thing i do to this 305 can be later changed over to a 350....

Why delete the AC? Sure it weighs a few pounds, and robs power (when it is on) but you live in KY. I would REQUIRE AC if I lived down south.

So as a few of u know on facebook i acquired another 700r4 trans, its the k series stamped on the sides its just a little heavier dutier and was mainly used in the 3/4 trucks also only paid 120 for it. Im planning on using a s10 torque converter since i plan on installing a cam and its rated at 1575 too 1600 rpk stahl converter so ill atleast already have that there when i plan to add my cam. Im also going to be running a huge b&m transmission cooler aswell as a kinda insurance and i also might even run a remote filter too the transmission as well like they use on certain allison transmissions on the newer trucks. Will update after trans is in and how it does hopefully no slips or funny buisness
