Hey guys I have a project ahead of me with this truck. " />
What the truck has on it right now.
318 Polysherical (the Hemi before Hemi) Single- bbl carb 4 on the floor devorced t-case Dana Spicer 60 rear axle Dana Spicer 44 closed nuckle front axle straight pipe 9' 3"L x 8' 1 1/2"W flatbed 16" split rim 8 x 6.5 lug pattern two rust spots in cab
That is all the truck has at the moment, I will update as I come up with new mods to add to the truck. But the mods that are in mind right now are as follows:
glasspack side pipe or stack install front drive shaft replace front window dually adaptors front and back for the classic dually look modern radio CB radio install breaklights install marker lights on bed. new tires. New homemade bumper/grill guard
I will update this as much as possible, and make it look the best I can on a budget (not determined yet) and end with a show quality truck.

It's more of the in-between Hemi, first gen Hemis came out before the polys (1951 vs. 1956). And for the stacks vs side pipes I would think side pipes would be easier and nicer but stacks will look good as long as you have two and do them right.

I wouldn't do stacks. IMO they look tacky, especially on a gasser. Nice truck.

Classic Dodge swag. I plan on working on mine this year. Wanna make a bed like this, rollbar and all. And hunt down a W series to steal the manual trans from it. Unless I find something else to bolt up to the 318.

I think Dougs is 2wd. An ax15 should work great behind a 318. We are putting one behind a 241 Hemi in a 55 Dodge pickup.
Power wagons are cool. The ones that had the Willock Swivel frame are awesome. Id like to build a 70s Dodge with something akin to the swivel frame. 6ft stepside bed, 4x4 with a Cummins or big block mopar...
Nice trucks fellas.
{EDIT} Not a powerwagon, but still old and cool Dodge. 59 2wd. No engine, no trans. Body looks rough, but for the most part it is solid. Good candidate to stick some 4x4 under it.

I've started making a steel bumper for the truck.
Materials being used: 77" of 6" C-channel. 154" of 1"x2" square tubing
I'll be getting a photo(s) as soon as possible, it should not take long to finish this before school is over with with only 5 class periods in Ag. Construction.

there is a lot to update on this.
Things I have done follows: Redneck U-Joint fix Two Harbor-freight 1450lbs trailers custom fab Flatbed paint CB Radio and dual 5.5ft. antennas LED marker light conversion (rear only ATM)
The next step of the plan is to get another coat of paint on the truck and fix the rust on the bottom of the cab then get the thing licensed so I can drive it.
