| This still leaves the unanswered question. Are you keeping it or not? Or are you thinking about trying to save it? | |

| Well I don't know if you'll be able to find 30" but I know I've seen them in 26x12-12. Bit too wide for my taste though. I don't for sure know where you would buy some but I can bet they will be expensive brand new. _______________________________________________ "This'll either wake you up or put you to sleep forever!"- Red Green "Whatever you do you should do right, even if it's something wrong." - Hank Hill - MTD Off-Road Build - Ford LT 110 Off-Road Build - Craftsman GT 6000 Off-Road Build - Sears LT11 Rat Rod Build *2019 Build-Off Winner!* - Allis B-110 x2, 710 & 716 - Wheel Horse 655, 953 & 500 Special - Case 444 - Bolens Versamatic & 1668 - Cub 106 & 124 - Ford LGT 125 & 145 - White 1650 Yard Boss | |

| That's actually a decent price for two, but that shipping is killer. | Oh, well not having the shipping fee brings the price down significantly, hahaha. Might be best to try and find a good used pair?

| Yeah and I just noticed that those tires are for 10" rims, I have 12" rims. The size I would like is 27x12x8, but I couldn't find any ags that size. Maybe industrials? | |

| Huh? I think you might be confused. With a 27x10-12 tire, it's 27" tall, 10" wide, and for a 12" rim. So those tires would fit on your rims. If you want 8" wide tires try searching for 27x8-12.

| Oh I misread the ad, I thought it was 27x10x10. Found some 25" industrials but if I was going to spend $214 on tires I'd rather spend $235 on tires and get the 27" ags. Not really sure where to go from here. | |

| Okay, this is exactly what I want, but that is super $$$. If you couldn't tell I'm trying to build a garden tractor into a compact tractor. | |

| How would one make those fit under the fenders though?

| I've thought that through too. The fenders have a lot of extra room, but not 7" of room. I don't like that overhang on the fenders anyway on older tractors like this one, so I can just cut that part off. And the fenders are sitting on the body with these little rubber cushions. I can easily get longer bolts and some spacers, and easily get enough clearance under the fenders. I've seen many people do this before, only one that comes to mind right now is Mower Outlaw. I've also thought about trimming the fenders down to practically nothing because I like the look of such fenders on tractors like the Ford 8n. | |

| Lifting the fenders would be okay I guess, but on those JD garden tractors the fenders, foot boards, and "center console" are all one peice. Plus the pedal and controls stick through the. Wouldn't that make it kinda difficult? Unless you seperated the fenders from the rest, lifted them, and welded some sheet steel in to fill the gap. That could be a possibility.

| On Mower Outlaw's wheel horse, he just bent it a little. Looked and worked fine. | |

| So wait a minute, if the title says "Pre-Build" does that mean this isn't the actual build thread?
