i bought this sears 2 years ago it had an oh160 tecumseh orginally then i put a honda gx240 8hp on it but i bought a 94 cub cadet that had a horizontal kohler command and i pulled the kohler and mounted it to the sears you couldnt pay me to put a clone on it these woods in alabama are rough on tractors theres alot of roots and rocks, killed 2 craftsmans a cub cadet and a murray built power pro but this sears ive beat worse than all them tractors and the only thing that broke was the steering wheel, it needs tires and a steering wheel it has the original sears 3 point hitch and ripping tines which i plan on keeping

Nice! I love those old tractors. I have a 75 ST/16 and a 77 Hydro.

Thanks, yeah that picture is a little old now. It was after a fresh restore. The Onan in the hydro finally gave up. I have another engine for it, but I have had other priorities right now.

Old Sears are pretty bulletproof machines. Interesting how some of them were almost in cub cadet colors. Weren't the larger engine models yellow while the smaller ones were still blue? Or were they all yellow those years? They made a lot with those same frames, that's for sure.
i think all the 73-76 suburbans were yellow and white i got a 74 ss16 that i picked up thats the same color its just gotbthe onan engine instead of the tecumseh
