I wanted to start a post to go through this build. The original reason I bought this tractor is because a friend and I go to the South Haven MI tractor show every year. Last year we decided we are going to turn it in to a guys weekend. We took his camper down and camped way out because we came in late and all the good spots were taken. After walking 3 sets of blisters off we decided we would have tractors to drive around for this year. I have a small hobby farm and wanted something that would be useful. I decided I wanted a Farm King. 2 of them came up on an online auction by me and I bought both for $250. 1 looked pretty good and 1 not so good. The better of the 2 had a blown engine and the other had everything disconnected. So the first order of business was to get the engine running on the parts tractor. Luckily it fired right up and we swapped it over to the other tractor. After about an hour we we're riding it around the yard. We decided that what ever we took had to have an over kill stack. So I mounted a 5" chrome turn out off a semi to my farm King. I love the way the cast iron 16hp Briggs sounds through that stack. LOL. We went to the show, rode around and had a blast. So I decided I wanted to make some upgrades. I am swapping the rear to Wheel Horse 5 lug hubs, and I have 12x10.5 rims and 26x12x12 R4 tires for the back. I plan to repaint it this winter and do some other minor upgrades. The tractor I am building is a 1980. I am going to upload all the pics to a google folder and post the link so you guys can look through all my pics of this tractor.

I had the hood, grill, PTO belt guard, and 3 point hitch parts all sand blasted. the 3 point parts are all painted and the rest is primed. I will post more pics when I get stuff back together.

I am getting closer to being ready for the tractor show. I painted the last rim today, put the hood on and have been replacing any bad wires. I still need to replace the fuel line and put the battery in. Hopefully it will be out of the shop this week for some seat time before the show next week.

Did that dipstick fore the rear end come like that or did you fab it up? Looks pretty neat, I'm probably going to have to make mine like that.

Huh, that's pretty neat. Does it indicate the level it's supposed to be at too? Mine doesn't, so I never really knew where to fill it up to. I just kind of guessed at it.
