We are getting really close to announcing the Top Tractor Challenge 2021 dates with in the next couple weeks, along with the new rule changes and all the information you need to submit your entry to compete.
BUT my question for you is.
What would you like to see at Top Tractor Challenge 2021?
What would you change or do differently to make the event better?
I already have a bunch of changes for the 2021 event that i think will make it a better experience for both the competitors and you the viewers but i would love your input!
Any and all suggestions or criticism is welcome, thank you for your support and input

I’m not necessarily looking for new or different course changes.
My question was more aimed toward the video series or even the competitors them selves. As a viewer What would the viewers like to see in the videos? Like should I set them up differently, should I talk more, should I narrate while people are competing and say what’s going on? Should I do different camera angles? Should I walk each course and explain it before people start to compete? Should I do the awards at the end more in depth? Should I do the driver interviews more in depth?
As a competitor What rules would you change? What could we do as a host to make it smoother or better?
Those are just some of the questions that zoom through my head on a daily basis, but Stuff like this, guess I should have been more specific with what I was after, people can’t read my mind lol

I catch ya. If you are looking to be more informative.
Video 1, Diver introductions and course descriptions, scoring, and walk-though? Video 2-6 Course video's. Your video parts look good to me on those. If Video 6 is short, add the awards to end of that one. Should it be too long for awards video 7 for that. Video 7 Awards, but instead of just doing awards. Maybe in "x" place "joe winner" then show some highlights from that competitor. Then hand out award maybe with their tractor?
Thoughts on that?

Definitely don't narrate while they are competing. I absolutely hate when people do that. Takes alot away from the action.
I think a "secondary" intro where someone does some cool shots of some competing tractors would be cool. Kind of like this intro...
Doesn't need to be as perfect as WD's intro, but I think a montage like that would be kinda cool.
And during competitions, I think several angles would be good. Maybe get a couple cameras rolling and pick out the best footage from each camera.
But as long as the competitor is in decent view of the camera for the time he is competing I think it'll be pretty good.
There's my 2 cents.

Ah ok. More camera angles wouldn't hurt. Id make a separate video of a in depth interview of the driver and his or hers tractor. Started off good with it but left out alot of people and tractors. Yes doing a walk through of each course is a great idea.

@MightyRaze I really like the idea of doing a highlights while announcing the winners, I believe I want to announce all the places this year instead of just top 4
@Hillbilly Offroading every year it never fails with driver interviews, either someone is running late, or they are working on there tractor, or I just plain forget. I’m shooting to have the best series yet this year

@Murraymountain I do need to work out camera angles this year. 2020 was horrible. All the clips were entirely way too close and I didn’t like how they turned out

Maybe too close for all the clips isn't great but I didn't think it was horribly bad. Personally I don't like it if the shots are from way back either because you can't see what's going on. Super close up doesn't show the course as well so that can be annoying too.

@mr.modified a lot of the shots you can’t see the whole tractor or person. I’d like to get it so there’s atleast approximately 1 foot all around the competitor as a buffer. Maybe even further at times so you can see what all they are doing, what obstacle they are conquering, and how they react to it

@Hillbilly Offroading I’m probably gonna shoot for 15 again this year. We were on course for 17 competitors for 2020 which is probably really pushing it space wise. But 2 locals and 4 out of state didn’t show up

Man I would love to play on your courses, but I would have to get a lot of ducks in a row to make it from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania. Maybe one day!

Well that makes sense yeah. If stuff is cut off then that's not good.

have you considered doing some onboard shots, maybe mix them in with the regular shots so those who are watching might get a drivers perspective of what's going on

@darkside0914 that actually has been suggested in the past. It would require me to get a couple more gopros, which I dont see a problem with doing that, maybe we will have some on board shots this year if the funds are right

@MightyRaze that would be a difficult one, I’d have to teach someone how to fly my drone and they would have to be willing to fly it during the competition. It would look amazing though

Well if you can't do any drone shots during the comp, maybe do some drone shots during the time the guys are prepping for the comp. That would look nice. I remember it was pretty open where y'all were doing the walk arounds last year.

Alrighty. I'll keep my eyes pealed. 15 is a decent amount. It looked like a good bit of non competitors along the side lines as well.

@Hillbilly Offroading everyone on the side lines were locals except craftsmanquad and his girlfriend. But none of them were staying at my house.
We have negative room for vehicles to park lol and we are working with .75 acres of property. I wish I could house a ton of people and make it a huge event, but it’s just not possible and why I have to decide who gets to compete and who doesn’t
