okay so i am thinking about experimenting with my other build off tractor my yard machines and id like to mabye ask about and see your guys opinions on flipping a transaxle upside down and how the heck id do it. i really wanna build a locked and lowered racing drift mower but ive gotta find out how the heck id make it work i have a spicer 6 speed witha hole in the case on the bottom could i flip it upsidedown and still run it? id block the hole off and use it as a fill port. will all the sludge inside leak out the imput shaft or would it actually be good for the imput? if i can the i have a test motor and craftsman clutch parts so i can do away with the vai drive crap and just make a really really fast yard machines for drifting and drag racing and honestly road driving lol

I would suggest notching the frame and using a jackshaft before trying to flip the trans. Flipping is just prone to cause leaks and poor lubrication.

well the problem is its a stamped thin sheet metal frame MTD and a jackshaft isnt an option currrently because the imput shaft sits too high in the chassis and id have to lift it to runa single belt and id just use the vari drive before i add a jackshaft also the jackshaft i have is rusted together and welded to a junk chopper frame
