Plans: -Find another engine -Build front bumper -Adapt my mtd grill and hood to fit -Make a rear grab bar or rack -Make an ammo box into a tool box -4in rear pulley -foot throttle -weld possi -and more Here it is! | I cant wait to see you tractor complete, what is the MTD grill look like? I think that hardest part would be either swapping the motor which isnt that hard when you think of it and making it possi, I sort of want to make mine possi but I'm just going to make chains for my rear tires

| I see. Haven't watched the vid yet. I wondered because those 28/31 OHV engines w/ pressure lube are great engines | |

| The mtd grill looks just like your adnmin's hood and grill, except it is orange. And no, you must have been confused the other tractor (big green) needs rebuilt. This 15.5 briggs is missing the governor plate. that is all. | |

| Also, i think possi helps ALOT in mud. If you can weld it is simple to do. | |

I would mainly be worried about welding it wrong, and wrecking the trans because it has some wobble to it and worn out some bushings.

| It's air tight, I used a gasket where it mounts to the carb, and PVC cement at all the connections. The connection at the carb I went very lite with the cement so I can break it apart to service the carb. I replaced the stock breather with a piece of aluminum fitted with a barb. I connected that to a puke tank with a piece of fuel line. | |

| Instead of running the breather to a catch can, couldn't you just run it to the pvc pipe somewhere on the snorkel?

On a stock engine, yes. The stock hose may be too short, but that could be extended.

| I did a little work today, (until i slipped and fell down my shed stairs, and decided to call it quits for the day). Since i didn't get to much done, I did brainstorm some idea's. I have one current question that i would like to hear some opinions on. Should i try to find a governor plate ( or make one off another engine work) for the 15.5 engine that is currently in the tractor. Or should i try to find another engine ( probably a flat head 10,11,12, or 12.5 hp). comment what you think.. before i fell, i took some pictures of the murray with the stock hood, and with the mtd hood and grille. (note the hoods are only sitting on the tractor, they are NOT bolted on at all). I like the mtd hood much better. Stock Murray hood MTD hood and grille Which one do you like?? Comment! | |
