So I recently got my speed mower running. The new muffler Is close the carb and after shutting it off I noticed there was smoke coming out of the carb after shutting it off. Do t know what's going on here or if I should be worked.

Thanks lawn chief life

Was it smoke, or was it vapour? Sometimes one can be confused for the other.

That said, I think you may want to consider either relocating the exhaust, or constructing some sort of heat shield. In addition to some potential for fire, there's the potential for vapour lock, and even a reduction in power due to the heat.

I am not so sure. my monky wards did that, and it was fuel leaking into the engine. it caught on fire and burned my hand.

I have heard of vapor lock. What exactly is a symptom of it or what does it do?

Basically, vapor lock is the result of fuel boiling (changing from a liquid to a gasous state) within the fuel system, be it lines, pump, or carb. Symptom? Fuel starvation, despite everything working properly.
