All-Terrain Murray aka Hellpussy :mtd2fst4u:

Hello fellow builders!! It's finally that time again, last year i failed miserably at getting build going so i saved this one all mid summer to now to build it so i can compete in this build off...so lets get down to business on what i will be doing to this ol murray

Electric:

New 8 gauge wiring for grounds and battery along with all new 12 gauge wiring for accessories (check)
New battery at least a honda civic sized battery with 430 cranking amps
Led front lights with working rear Led brake lights  (check)
(undecided yet) some sort of tunes to jam while im cruising and tearing stuff up
New Ignition switch or toggle switches with kill switch or tether kill switch

Body,Drive-train,Steering:

New paint hemi orange/black (rattle can)
New tires All knobbies 22x11x8 rear and 165/50/6 front (check)
New belt of course
Pulley swap peerless transaxle 5 speed 834 series 5'' to 5'' (check)
Idler Pulley
New seat of some sort
On board tool box with tools i might need or tow straps
New gas pedal of some sort
New High speed bearings in front wheel's (check)
New Inner tubes for unless i put in some new valve stems instead (check)

Engine:

New NGK spark plug
Carb Rebuild Kit
Some paint on engine shrouds
(possibly) pull start
New Starter
New Ignition coil (check)
New Air filter (unless) i run some sort of cold air intake

Cost:
cost of this build is to be estimated around 380-390 for everything due to not having anything at all price might change after something will break or i break in the process

Well thats everything i have listed pretty good list but this will not be a speed demon it will be used purposely as some trail riding mudding and pulling thing mainly but will be a solid build and everything will be fully functional and operating and built for an All-Terrain purpose mower!!

o sorry forgot to mention that it will be a 1990 12 hp flat head brigs she has the one piece carb on it, i figured the port and polish of the head and intake and carb if i can on the carb should boost a few extra ponies if not it will at least let things flow a lot better then what its doing now dont wanna sacrifice the gas usage its been getting by going to a twin opposed or a v-twin

thanks guys!! i will finish this year i have no excuses i have a welder a building some tools so now all i need is time and the new parts and im ready to roll

just awaiting for a warmer day so i can wash off the frame and body so it dont freeze as its drying lol also anyone know where we can find some replacement seats at?

Ebay or craigslist will be your best bet because getting an oem seat will be pricy oem is about 80-90 dollars.

ordered my tires today fellers!! all 4 knobbies will post pictures when i get them in from amazon 22x11x8 and 6's up front 165x60x6 i believe still need to go take her to a car wash tho lol

Have you tried looking at www.northerntool.com ? They carry alot of replacement seats, don't know about the pricing, though.

What kind of tires are those up front? Or on the top of pile?

i havent looked to much into seats just yet, and i will check that out ty for the website info!! on the seat i was looking around some seen some from 30-150 bucks for a seat lol i also found some camo riding mower seat covers on ebay, even tho they do say john deere on them there pretty cool also has pockets on the back of the seat cover made into it for storage and ect and the front tires are Carlisle knobbies 145/70-6, there pretty nice as well seem like the walls are pretty thick enough too for what ill be using them for...the rear are more then enough lol might even have to lift the rear a little to fit them lol alot bigger then i expected but thats ok, also the reason i went with these is cause there not as aggressive as others and i dont really wanna break anything i dont have a spare transaxle or anything i figured these would give enough to spin a tiny bit and not grip so good they break stuff but still get the job done when i needed them too...will post more pictures after the progress goes along next is car wash on the body and frame and then i can really crack down on the ol girl going tomorrow to pick up my high speed bearings

ok guys as i have been thinking long and hard on the decision on a locked transaxle i was pointed towards this set from Doc himself and which i highly appreciate it!! and the help for the seats as well from the you other guys!! well i have read and it says its to fit any peerless 5 speed on any 800-to-847 so with that i think i should be ok, reason for running these is that it would just be alot more safe and easier then worrying about my welds not holding and BOOOM throws something thru my trans casing so imma do a little but more research and see if it will fit but im pretty sure it will so let me do some more research and ill post later on today if they will or wont...heres the link http://roms-peerless-transaxle-supply.ecrater.com/p/7192288/gearset-upgrade-5-for-peerless-transaxle-3-4-axle" />

just purchased my led bulbs 1156 from amazon and high speed wheel bearings for the front wheels, will post pictures of them after they come in

they are carlisle knobbies 22x11x8 they have some pretty hard core knobs on them lol should do me just fine for ill be using it for pretty cheap too!!
