Not sure if this goes in here or off topic. It is 1/3rd mower ( or 1/2 if you count the one with a swing arm)
Got a cheap roller a few weeks ago for the tires, after the tire swap I decided this would be a big head start on a kika$$ mower project. good tight steering, great brakes and suspension, so what the hell. got the frame hacked up and put in a 17.5 briggs single and a peerless 797 box. still in mockup. need time to weld in the mounts and work on the foot clutch. shifter might be kind tricky. not sure if I want to do an inline or rotary

Very nice plan. Motivates me for a similar plan I have using a mower engine to a 700 trans. Be sure and post up more pics and it goes.

Any progress on this? I had that pic saved and ran across it today. I'm thinking about dropping my frankenbuggy project and just swapping onto the yamaha timberwolf frame I have. Mostly interested in how the chain and swingarm will work with the peerless box.

thats about as far as I got. still working on the motor for the other trailboss and a half a dozen other projects that popped up. the damn grass is growing again and I gotta keep the working mowers going.

as long as the sprocket on the 700 is lined up with the pivot on the swing arm, chain tension shouldnt be a problem.
finding a good spot for the shifter is the hold up right now. cant decide if I want an inline shifter or a rotary .

might even change everything. I have a 20hp kohler out of a walker mower. no shaft on the PTO side.
It just has a stub shaft that bolts to the fly wheel. not really good for anything but a big ass gokart motor.
run that through a snowmobile clutch and a jackshaft . then chain drive to the axle
