True, but I'm probably just gonna go and try to get that old Sears I'm looking at as it's fairly local.

The thing about MTDs are they arent compatible with anything but MTDs. Youll have to really fab up the rear to get the Sears trans in, plus twist the belt. Totally incompatible.

No it's a Sears LT not a GT. It's got a Peerless 600 (vertical input shaft) that I plan on putting in, all I need is to make mounts out of angle iron and get some good sized muffler clamps.

You could use any normal 3/5/6 speed tranny you can get your hands on. 600 series are cool though cause they have the H pattern shifter.

Yeah I like the H-shift pattern a lot, also they usually have big sleeves on the axle shafts that bolt to the case.

Yeah I might have to. The 21"s might be going on a different project entirely. I only wanted the Duro's but he didn't want to separate the set, although for $60 bucks I couldn't pass it up hahaha!

Thats a steal for $60, theres a ton of rubber left on those. Are any of the rims 4on4? BMIkarts sells 4on4 hubs. Anything outside of that would need to be custom.

Yeah it's like they where hardly used, the seam is still sort of there from the mold! Hahaha! Yeah they're 4-bolt rims. They're also both on 8" rims, so worst case scenario I have to put them on the lawn tractor rims, which isn't that bad at all.

i would use the duros. they look like a better A/T tire to me. V treads pack up with mud from what I've seen and with the knobs outside of them, i would think that would really hold the mud in there. knobbies can pack up too though so its all preference lol

The Duro's are the V-tread ones, the other ones are made by a brand called ST. I never heard of them but they look like pretty good tires.

The V treads are pretty well spaced, so either would work, but those knobs on the duros really help in the soupy stuff.

Well they're both on 8" rims, so I could put the Duro V-treads on the back and the smaller ST's on the front. That'd look pretty wild, hahahaha!

I think so, but they also put 5-speeds in them. What ever is in it I'll probably end up using anyway. But I really hope it's a 600 haha.
