Everyone has their kinks and fetishes. AK's is suspension. If any girl talked to him about suspension he would take her to bed instantly........what who said that? lmao

Did a lot of stuff on the mower today.

I only am done the exhaust though because I need to go pick up some bolts for the suspension.
It sounds really good though and I like it!

What kinda suspension setup did you end up going with?

So today I did a little more on the mower. The suspension is almost done and I will post pictures tomorrow but for today I finished painting the hood. It looks way better than before and It looks really good from far away but up close there is some weird paint marks and scratches. I don't really care though because I know It is going to get much worse.

Ya it was very faded it was not even orange anymore.

The paint job made it look nice! Like the front suspension too! How much lift did you do with the axle?

There is still the axle pivot. I shouldn't be to hard to change it though but for now I will just leave it.

Thanks for the compliments mighty, the front axle is lifted 2 or 3 inches and the body on the back is lifted 2 or 3 inches as well.
It often does wheelies when changing gears even from just a 4 to a 5 or a 5 to a 6 so I have to be careful to not go from gears one to six or I might fall off.

Oh ok, cool! The coilovers look good together with the little fenders on the hood, like it was build that way almost. Now, put a trolley jack under the one side of the axle and see how much that baby flexes! Hahaha.

Thanks! I like to do bolt on stuff so I don't ruin the mower and also it makes future changes easier.

Today's little mod is this snorkel, I got some other things started too but not finished.
It might not be a fearless front fancy snorkel but it seems to be good enough for me. You might also notice it is a oil filter and not a air filter because the correct air filter was hard to find and the oil ones were cheaper. It breathes just as well as an air filter though and the engine runs fine. It is attached to a flexible 1.5 inch tube that I had laying around.

Painted the rear end of the body with black gloss, I like the way the mower is looking, all it needs now is tires and brakes basically.

Looking good! Did you raise those fenders for bigger tires? If so, got bracing for your seat? Hate to see you hit a bump and them bend down.

Only lifted the body a few inches if it needs to be a little more lifted I will and I will be sure to add a support.

I would recommend some 8 inch garden tractor front wheels. Much easier to find tires for. The stock front tires are the biggest you can find for a 6 inch rim

I agree with CQ. Not only does it look nice and give ya more tire options, but sometimes you can find those 8" rims with nice bearings in them.

Mine have bearings in them. Just look around and see what you can find. If your current tires hold air you shouldn't need to be in *too* big of a hurry

nice work indeed, looking the goods now, with some bigger tyres and that suspension I'd say some fun times to be had.

Forgot to post this! I finally found an easy way to set up the throttle as a foot throttle. I simply unbolted it from where it was and brought it around to the other side and welded a little bracket on the mower. I did attach a return spring but its not in the picture.
