Look of ATLTF

OK, taking a few suggestions here.  While the "functionality" of the site is pretty locked in to the Host templates, we can adjust the appearance such as images, colors....

Do you like the "Darker" appearance of the site?

Would a "Lighter" look be better?  

What color would you like the forum?  I would call it Red/Green right now.  The ATLTF's Identity is Red/Black/White as seen in stickers etc..

Like the round logo on headers you have seen...


or stickers that have been made.


I have looked into different options that the Host gives, If I change to a newer back-end.... all the user blocks shift to the right of the post.  Right now they are left.

<--- where you see my name, rank, badges, etc.  That would all shift to the right. --->  Would this be an issue?  Would you get use to it?

Sorry for all the questions...  just trying to get a feel of the users.

Honestly, for people like me with light sensitivity (long story) the darker page customization options are ideal. It now is a modern-ish improvement on the old 2012 era version of the page, but not so different an old fart like me couldn't get around. Layout itself, sure, do as you all want. Colors... whatever you go with, please leave it dark

I like the dark color, and the current layout just seems like it makes the most sense to me. Super simple and easy to navigate. The reason I joined ATLTF is because it was so easy to find my way around. Having the author on the left with all their “awards” seems consistent with all other forums I’ve looked at and makes sense.

I never use the taskbar on the right. I always treat the portal as the “home” page and always go back to that before going anywhere else

I pretty much agree with everything CQ said. This forum is laid out a lot different than any other forum, but I have trouble navigating other forums. This one is very easy to find my way around, and I also use the portal as "home".

As far as modifications to the forum itself, I would like it if the "Latest Topics" bar on the left was longer to include more topics. Usually, I miss a lot of things when I hop on here at like 8 pm at night, and a few days later I scroll up in someone's thread and see that hey, I missed a bunch of stuff.

Something else I've found is that the search bars is basically broken. When I'm looking for one of my topics, and I search, "MTD", it says
"No topics or posts met your search criteria"

When I search 990, 110, Dayton, Allis, etc, it says the same thing. You have to put in 3 or more words before it will start giving you results, and I find it almost impossible to use.

Other than that, I think it would be neat if we had a bit more customization to our profile pages, but nothing crazy. I kind of wish we could change our colors ourselves, just kind of because I don't see needing to be white anymore. I'd like it if I could change my color to yellow or something, like it was in the chatbox and like it is on the Discord servers that I'm an admin on.

I know there is a bug with searches using 4 or less letters.  That is per forumotion admin on their support pages.  Also, they do not give user personalizations.  

I like the darker colors, and the profile on the left. Everything works perfectly for me.

I like the darker background also, find it easier to read and easier on the eyes. Left side for the profile too, seems expected on that. But the new pic upload seems kinda annoying though. Was worried that when I copied the url, that I didn't get the whole thing and mess up my post when I pasted it on the insert part.

We will stick with the darker. The image upload is outside our control.
