k. i want this. 4 cylinder cummins turbo diesel chevy s10. 4x4. well id rather build my own and make it a mini tank of a truck tho. all it needs is a more solid frame. steel bumpers and that would be indestructible.

k2500 understands. the bed is where its at. extended cab 6ft bed. and i could do whatever the heck i wanted to do to this thing. frame reinforcements and solid steel bumpers. a winch. roll cage. run it on like 30's with 16" rims. that may be to big for that. idk. it would get around 20 mpg. maybe more if i was lucky. 400ft lbs of torque 150hp.

or maybe take a chevy 2500 frame with 1500 suspension and a cummins 6 cylinder. i think thats 600ft-lbs and idr the hp rating on those engines. id get a adapter plate for a allison transmission to mount to the engine and run 1 ton axles under it. i would like 1500 suspension instead of 2500 as its obviously softer supsension. lighter weight. all i would carry is tools and passengers. id still stick too ext cab and 6ft bed.. and its all on what you like red. i like my chevys. not a big jeep fan honestly.

Yeah maybe some 2500 with a solid front axle. That will save you a ton of hassle

my point exactly red. lol. solid axles front and rear. i think the s10 would be less cost tho as its small and the ford 5 speed bolts right on. gotta love stick shift

if i did the s10 tho id want to swap in custom length 1/2 ton solid axles front and rear. and id love to use a chevy transmission so i could keep everything simple and chevy based. just bolt the engine in and go kinda thing. you know

ive come to the conclusion. when i build this its going in a 2nd gen dodge ram 1500 ext. cab with 1 ton (dana 60) axles. a nv4500 transmission from a cummins. engine mods will be new injectors, cam, better turbo (eventually), solid bumpers, probably 3" lift with the biggest tires i can fit under it on 16's and upgraded axle components

im thinking red but idk what shade. and id go 24 valve. i hear they got more oomph. id like to put dual black hood scoops and a roll cage in the bed. with the mods i wanna do i think the 4bt will pump +/- 200hp and 400 ft/lbs.
