Like, what do I use as a coller, where does it go on the input, and do I just weld it to my mounting plate?

You won't need a big collar going all the way down on the shaft, what you need is a support base for the input shaft to NOT move, read break. When you slam the clutch.

The only thick plate on my build will be this plate, so minimum a 1/4" thick plate, drill holes, mount - DONE!

I will also use some 90 degree angle iron or similar to go up to the remaining top mount holes, this way its clamped in place.

Like Reddz also said, its the cases that breaks cause of bad mounting and support.

Wouldn't that wear out or make a bad screeching noise because its not a bearing?

No, no its not the input shaft itself, its the outside part of the input shaft and like i suggested to fill it with some silicone or PUR after you mount it, for flex.

Yes, cause most just drill a like 2 inch hole there, and let it hang loose.

Yeah and abit wide maybe? aslong as its not wider than long, and it starts going sideways just for the fun of it.

Height is hard to say now, but this will be low. Since nothing will protude below the box frame.

Need to keep in mind that with the 4on4" hubs and 3/4" front axles, I can have the option to pop on bigger wheels for a quick rally trip.

But for road/dirt its so low that when you hit a small dent in the ground, the frame hits the asphalt and sparks shoot out, One's allowed to dream  Very Happy

To me, it look wide. if that's what you want, thats alright. remember the "mini" theme, you start playing with dimentions and stuff then its not so mini. Thats why im running a slightly longer wheelbase and about the same width, maybe a little wider, and 4.10" wide tires Razz

Yeah but I also have to keep in mind the JD design and theme. Since im using the Square rear fender, that needs some lenght.

what fender/ hood will you use?

Gosh, not gonna be easy afterall.... bounce

Im using that surfaced rusted wheel horse hood, shortened, and no fenders. my tractor probally didnt come with any stock, and i have no fenders anyways, and i like the open wheel look.

I agree, did you start to cut your hood yet. I ordered me some JD 110 round fenders too, but they will look stupid on a 16" Tire.

You're going for a Mini hot rod look then kinda?

I'm trying to keep the dimensions stock looking, and the same style seat it would have on it. Obviously tires/hood and drivetrain will be different.

Got the 428 chain, but it didnt fit. But then i checked the Peerless 700 's partslist. Stock reverse chain is the #41 not the #40 as i thought, so theres a difference in those like

428/#40 chain will generally work on #41 sprockets. What was the fitment issue? Was there interference somewhere, or just sloppy? Of course, you don't want slop in there, I was just wondering if it was hitting somewhere.

Yea it didn't go around the sprocket. Also the 428H is wider, so I guess it would have hit the case wall.
