| well, its back at it. a few of yall know that ive been having problems with my 04' briggs ELS 18.5 horse. it cranks slow, even with a truck battery directly to the starter. i can turn it over easily by hand so its not compression related. i have torn down ALL electrical, cleaned every connection on this POS. Even tore down the starter. It cleared up for about a week, then yesterday i went to start it so i could move it, same ol' stuff. any ideas? i am ready to tow this thing to the road with a free sign on it. now i see why the guy gave it to us (we aquired it for free)... | |

| I have the same engine a little bit older and have had the same prob. What I have to do I haven't used it for more then 2 days or so. After that I have to put up to the big tractor and jump it with tons of starter fluid for 2 or so min. | |

If it takes 2 minutes of cranking with a spitload of ether, something is wrong with your engine. The bad news is, it's getting worse. DON'T DO THIS! | |
