I knew there was this 21 opposed that already had it's pulley and engine bolts removed, the engine was just laying on the ground. It was on its side, so no rain got in the carb.
I proceeded to take the intake off, side shroud covers, gov assembly, and the main cover to inspect components like the coil and starter gear. All in good shape. Put the main shroud on, and put it in the wheel barrel, on to the next stop.
I payed a visit to the only intek v twin, 44ci, 25hp (very tired and abused tractor --- i had pulled parts off it for my mini build) so i think most people got turned off of taking the engine, or else it would be gone.
Pulled the heads off, head gaskets, push rods, all the bolts, un bolted it from the tractor, and flipped the engine over, and took the bottom crank cover off. I took the cam out witch was the hardest part. I took the double barrel style carb and intake too.
Next! A vanguard twin 12.5hp showed up and is complete. I have enough engines, so i just took the sweet mikuni fuel pump off it. way better then the ones included with the new intek's. Aluminum, bigger, looks to be serviceable! I can never have enough of these lol.
Set everything on the scale and came to 100lb's. Thats $31 @$.35 a pound i guess. Great deal.
