OT What happened to Lawren?

This is ABSOLUTEY off topic... Anyone looking for mower info can pass this by. Some folks have asked me where I've been, so here goes...

Ok fella's It's been a while since I was sucked up by a tornado and sent to OZ. Some of you knew that I was planning a trip to Illinois to visit my folks, to coincide with a big mower event. I got a call from my sister that I had to come home NOW (around April) I dropped everything and went home. My Dad is 86 this year. He and Mom had lived for a year and a half with no hot water. The roof was leaking. Sparks came from the wall sockets whenever anything got plugged in. The wouldn't tell my sister, and didn't trust anyone else to do it. In short, they need my help. Add to that... The extended Family vultures are circling... Dad is the last living of 13 kids... every 2nd cousin twice removed, every grandchild etc thinks they have a claim on his mothers (Grandma Wimberly)'s property. They are surprisingly silent when I am in town.

I came back to SC after putting out the immediate fires, told wifey we are moving back to Salem. That means selling everything here... a farm... Needless to say, I've been busy. I did finally get a FB account (wifey set it up so we weren't running up the phone while I was outta town) so if any of ya wanna send me a friend request, go ahead.

I owe SOMEONE a knife... dunno who won the contest, but congrats!!! Contact me and I'll get it to you as soon as it's finished. (blade is done, I need to handle it and polish then etch) Sorry to drop out like that. I'll try to be in a bit more.

Ah, pain the the neck relatives. I know how that goes. Anyway, good to hear from you and all that. Good luck with moving stuff around. Sometimes a little change in scenery isn't too bad anyway.

I've been going through old threads while it's slow at work.  Lots of good content.  Lots of good comradery in the group back in the earlier days.  A brotherhood of sorts.

Lawren, not sure what has happened since the initial post with your family.  I hope that has worked out since then.  I just checked out your FB and what you have public.  I have to say, you have some serious skills forging blades.  Wow.
