Don't know if anyone took notice that I haven't been real active for the past few days.
Well, I was in a nasty dirtbike accident on Sunday. I was riding with my friend Tyler. I was going up this hill where we ride and he was coming down it. We didn't see each other till he crested the hill, then it was too late. We hit head on. My klx 140 and his 400ex. H flew over his bars and knocked me off of my bike, luckily before I got the real brunt of the hit. I rolled 3/4 way down the hill and landed. On my side. When I tried to roll over I noticed that the top half of my leg moved and everything below my knee didn't. I quickly kicked into boy scout mode and was like don't move, don't move, don't move... Tyler came running up to me and we called my dad with his phone. Luckily the accident happened about a mile away from my house, practicaly right between our houses. My dad got there and we called the ambulance. I've been in the hospital since Sunday with a fractured femur and a slightly fractured thumb. As I was being carted off to the er Tyler and his dad picked up the many pieces of my bike and hauled it home for me. He estimates $150 of damage to my bike and $450 to his quad. So, the next six weeks of my life will be spend ordering parts for my bike.
Just in time for Christmas...

yep, I know how ya feel... i have broken both of my wrists on quads before... one of them was shattered and dislocated. talk about pain lol so i know how ya feel. Hope ya get better!

I had my gopro running while this happened. It broke off my helmet when we hit, I think, maybe it broke when I was rolling down the hill. So, when I get home I will edit out the 5mins of the ground out and put the clip on YouTube. I'll probably slow it down some so ya can see what happened.

That's not good. My dad did that on a mini bike back in the day and got knocked unconsious. Don't worry, you'll be back in shape soon enough. That's what I always worry about riding up hills like that. I try to avoid most of them unless I can see it's clear before I get to it. Stuff happens though, you can't plan everything.
I dumped my dirt bike when it was brand new, It was my fault....going 40 mph in a hay field in the rain is never a good idea....hay and mud dont mix well. I broke my collar bone. Fortuantley the bike was ok....I hope you get up and riding soon man, don't let a broken leg get in the way of modding!!!

Geez man, I hope you get better quick. A kid in high school a little older than me did dirt bike races on some big 250. Landed a massive jump wrong and snapped his femur in half. Can't imagine what that feels like. He healed up and around 2 years later same thing happened, but this time he pretty much landed on his face and broke cheak bones, jaw, teeth, and a nose. He still races, one of the toughest guys I know.
Get well soon. I know how it feels not being able to do stuff because of having to lay there. I had a appendix removed last year during spring break in school. I couldn't do anything with my mower for 2 weeks. They said I couldn't lift more than 20 pounds for the whole 2 weeks. If that wasn't bad enough, try laying there for 3 days in so much pain that you didn't even want to move any part of your body a centimeter. Again, I truly hope you get well soon and don't have a hard time fixing the bike.

I have him coming over the hill, I have when we hit, then I have the dirt at the bottom of the hill where my gopro stopped rolling. lol When I get the chance I will put it into my editing software and slow it down alot to see if we can see anything interesting.

Happy to hear you are back. Excuse to ride the carts at walmart now. Not many people can say hey, i screwed myself up and got it on camera. Label the video on youtube right and might have a good viewing video.

Hobbled out to the garage today to check it out. Looks like crap and needs washed before I can even attemt to work on it because it was real muddy where we wrecked so my bike was practically laying in it. Tyler was supposed to come up, and we were going to do that walk-around so I can get the vidja up, but he couldn't make it so we just pushed it back into the garage. Left fork is trashed, right fork looks fairly good. If the right one is bent, it is just barely. Front tire is surprisingly still holding air... Pics... Close your eyes...

big list but i figure most of it can be bundled, like a new rim will have half the list you were talking about. i wouldn't be surprised if the other fork is roached too.
Jeez. Maybe you could find some used stuff pretty cheap online or something if you wanted to go that route. I see you've got the G2 or whatever handguards on there, I have the same ones. How's the leg and everything making out?

Yeah, maybe Doug can make a custom thing for under my name like his. Lol Don't know about the other fork. We hit on a very slight angle, that is prolly why everything is bent to the left

Already found some cheap forks on eBay. Then found some more, but weren't in as good of condition, but better than mine! Lol. Hand guards are moose racing guards. I think they look(ed) cool on my bike. The only problem with them I ever had was laying it over and bending them, they pulled out of the end of the bars. But all in all I love them for summer ridingg because they let air blow over your hands while riding with sweaty mx gloves on, lol. Hand and leg are doing good. Going to pt on Mondays and Fridays. The farthest I bent my leg so far is 45° and we are trying to get to 90° before I go back for my six-week checkup. Then once the brace is off I wait for six months, then go back to get the plate out of my leg. Dad says I'm gonna get a mx knee brace to ride in for probably a year or two, then my knee can't twist sideways and risk breaking it again. Hopefully I can get my trapter together so I can ride that around and not risk breaking my leg on my bike.
I was looking up parts for my bike when I remembered to put those pics up. The hardest parts to find so far are the OEM front fender and number plates. Everything I find is the aftermarket acrebis crap... But I guess I got a few months to find parts for it. I am also planning on doing a motovlog for my first time back on the bike, it'll probably be chalked full of pictures and jenk.

wowo thats bad you should look on craigslist to see if there is a bike like yours to take what you need off to fix this one but that is a nice bike how many cc is it
