Actually I’m gonna keep the stock intake. I have no problem with it. I’m thinking maybe drill a hole in the plastic 90* elbow of the factory intake and put in a corse thread barb there to put the hose on.

Oh lmao I gotcha now. Yeah I guess that would work. I really wouldn’t need one though. I don’t think so anyway. Eh, we can see

Yeah, the vacuum really shouldn't be that strong, and really shouldn't pull anything that far. But you'll see i guess lol.

Got the pull start adapted on. Not really happy with how the shroud fits though since this flywheel is shorter. Might put the original flywheel back on at some point and make a new pull start. Anyway, the pull start and shroud are back on. Now have to fix the bolt that holds the pulley on lol and the swap will basically be done

What is that pull start from anyway? Looks identical to the one on my Bolens Versa-Matic walk-behind tractor.

Came off a tiny horizontal shaft kohler that was on a tiller. Can’t remember the horse power exactly, but it was either 1.5, 2, or 3

Ok guys, sorry to take some attention from the buildoff (good luck everyone!) but I got some time in the garage today. Got everything put back together and went to pull start it and it fired first pull.....and demolished the flywheel key. Put the key in from the other engine and added a washer to keep the flywheel right. Pulled it again and same thing. So the original flywheel will go back on. I’ll have to figure out my pull start from there, but that is my current course of action

LOL, sorry man! That happens like every time I try to do something! Hopefully, you can figure out how to do pull start on the old flywheel.

Looks pretty nice CQ, sorta like it's factory almost.

That’s the hope. I try to make everything look like it belongs there. Like it could’ve come factory like this

Welp, this tractor is making a comeback soon in a RAD way. I just picked up a FREE craftsman GT with an oppy and a 6 speed 820. Dunno what I want to do with the engine yet, but the transaxle is getting locked, new final drive, and beefier reverse chain and going in this tractor. I have a vanguard 16 horse I’m going to do a mild build on (probably just valvesprings and some 18 horse heads), I’ll try and find a craftsman gen2 steering box for it, and I gotta dynamark hood from @Redzz02 for doing him a solid and picking him up something shiny (I won’t spoil it). Also got some 25” maxxis mud bugs that were originally for my buddies Sears, but since he won’t be getting to that for quite a while I’m gonna steal em back lol

Basically this tractor is going to be built about like @redzz02’s mud dynamark. They have the same frame, built by the same company, similar driveline (the same, but mine won’t be quite as trick), and will be about the same height. I don’t plan on copying him entirely, but don’t be surprised if the final product ends up looking really similar.

Sorry for the long post, just trying to outline this tractors comeback as best I can
