Yeah, I've always liked those transaxles because of the high and low range. But, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think they where made by Peerless, I think Roper made them.

The rear tires are Kenda Executioners. I have a set on my Suburban 12 as well.

Yeah high and low is another good advantage. I honestly don't know, I've always seen them referred to as Peerless 633's.

I think they're made by Roper, but I could be wrong. Either way they're pretty cool!

1967 was the last year they were made by David Bradley, anything after that was Roper.

Just a few pictures of my dads ride he picked up. 1971 SS14 restored. 14 hp Briggs with a 8 speed hi and lo trans. Made by roper and only made in 1971.

Wow, she's even got the grill piece on the right hand side. Those have usually been taken off to use the PTO. Beautiful Sears!

if it is a 6 speed with 3 high range gears and 3 low range, yes it is a peerless. I can tell its a peerless 633a anyway, its basically the only transmission that has that design. side input ones are rare too. its a pretty effin beefy transmission. Its classified as a transmission too, btw. not a transaxle (you learn something new every day!) Aside from the hydro, wasnt that the common transmission offered in the sears suburbans for a lot of years?

I don't know, I could be wrong, but I have a manual for every Peerless trans, gearbox, differential they made, and there's no 633a. But, I could be wrong

A quick google search shows that it was indeed made by Roper but were also sold as a Peerless transmission??
